Sandra Huang, APCC

Do you ever feel like no matter how much you give, it’s never enough? You work so hard, care so deeply, yet still struggle to fully love and accept yourself. Maybe setting boundaries feels difficult, or expressing your needs feels impossible. Perhaps you’ve been told—by others or even by yourself—that being true to who you are is wrong. But the truth is, you are not broken, and you don’t have to shrink yourself to fit into expectations that were never meant for you. I’m here to help you see your worth, trust your voice, and create a life that honors who you truly are. You deserve that, and you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I specialize in helping people break free from self-doubt, perfectionism, and the fear of disappointing others. My approach is a blend of evidence-based therapy and holistic techniques, tailored to your unique needs. I believe therapy should be more than just talking—it can be interactive, creative, and even empowering.

Together, we’ll find ways to navigate relationships, set boundaries, and honor your needs without guilt. Clients often tell me they feel safe, seen, and that change finally feels possible. No matter your struggle, I’m here to help you reconnect with your inner strength and create a life that feels true to you.

Scyan Hall, AMFT

Sometimes it feels like life has a lot of rules. If only we could find the playbook…

Do you often feel overwhelmed by external pressures at school, work, or home? Do you find yourself limited by fear of judgment from peers, colleagues, or even family? Do you have big dreams that, deep down, you know you’re capable of achieving, but sometimes it feels like too many odds are stacked against you?

Today is a good day for liberation.

I am passionate about helping others become, in reality, what they are in potential. I employ a holistic, solution-focused, and narrative-based approach tailored to help each client navigate and minimize disruptive thought processes and behaviors stemming from feelings of stress and anxiety, depressive moods, and traumatic experiences. I am committed to supporting clients through challenges in the work environment, life stressors, relationship conflicts, and difficulties experienced by youth maturing into young adulthood, to achieve growth and healing.

As an African-American therapist with roots in community service, an educational background as a graduate of a historically women’s college, and experience working with professionals in law enforcement, I am attuned to the individual needs and cultural sensitivities of each client. I work to cultivate an inclusive environment where individuals from all walks of life and all identities can feel safe to share whatever is on their mind, free of judgment or bias.

I aim to help clients reclaim their power and experience the triumph associated with seizing a more active role in authoring the story of their life. Our work together will help you release yourself from the shackles of anxiety, fear, doubt, worry, and the grating noise of societal norms and self-imposed limitations.

Together, let’s walk the path towards creating a more fulfilled you.

Sophie Seigler, ACSW

Hi there! I am a Vietnamese-American therapist passionate about encouraging individuals, as well as couples, to navigate their daily lives with fewer emotional and social challenges. I was born in Vietnam and came to the United States at four years old. I was subconsciously taught to refrain from expressing emotions and had to learn to balance the various facets of my identity that caused internal conflicts. Throughout my therapeutic journey and process of personal healing, I have continued to learn to challenge myself, break the cycle of intergenerational trauma, and adjust to the difficult changes in life.

My therapeutic approach involves working to understand my client’s unique experiences, allowing them to explore the connections between their goals and their values. I strive with my clients to gain insight into how their specific life experiences relate to the present to foster a path to lead a higher quality of life. I integrate multiple evidence-based practices (DBT, ACT, humanistic, mindfulness) from a culturally responsive, trauma-informed, attachment-based, and strengths-based perspective to support my clients. I’ve had the privilege of working with clients who are at risk and suffer from severe mental stressors relating to grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, crisis, and life transitions.

As a first-generation Vietnamese-American, I understand and empathize with you that starting therapy can feel daunting, and confusing as you begin to share your personal story with a stranger. I encourage you to reach out today to schedule your free 15-minute consultation to see if we’d be a good fit together!

Adriaan Van Zyl, AMFT

I’m here to walk with you…
I work with people to manage a variety of personal, professional and societal stressors. We work together through the uncertainty of change and acceptance that can help with these transitions. My experience allows me to work with individuals, couples and families alike who face a range of symptoms (e.g. depression, elevated anxiety, anger, grief, isolation and loneliness). I am also experienced in helping those suffering from PTSD, ADHD, end of life, spiritual and existential questioning, as well as concerns involving masculinity.

Are you contemplating changing careers, relationships, or maybe feeling overwhelmed by new roles? Perhaps you just feel stuck in the mud. You don’t have to white knuckle it alone and you certainly don’t have to wait till you hit rock bottom! Come as you are … there is no shortcut to doing the emotional work needed, but I know that sitting in the mud with someone is better than being stuck in it alone.

As someone in their mid-life who has made the journey from Africa to the U.S., had diverse experiences in the entertainment industry, while also identifying as queer, I bring you a broad perspective to psychotherapy. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, where together we discover, implement and evaluate interventions. The foundation of my training rests on the core values of curiosity, authenticity and vulnerability. These values help shape the way I approach therapy and navigate life.

Understandably, it can be daunting to take the first step in asking for help. Rest assured, we will work at your pace to reach your personal goals tailored to your needs. Together, we will progress toward building a deeper understanding of you and your life’s circumstances, and help you develop the tools necessary to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.

We all face challenges. You don’t have to do it alone.

Pashtana Omar, AMFT

I’m an Afghan-American Therapist with over 5 years of experience dedicated to working with diverse populations. It has been an incredible journey for me, assisting individuals from various backgrounds, including those from low-income households, refugees, immigrants, and other minority populations.

In my practice, I employ a range of evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. These approaches allow me to address the unique stressors and symptoms my clients face, while empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.

I understand that each individual is unique and has their own set of values, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds. That’s why I am committed to providing unconditional understanding and connecting with clients on a human level. I recognize the importance of embracing diversity and creating an inclusive therapeutic environment where all clients feel valued and respected.

I am eager to embark on a collaborative therapeutic journey, as we work together to overcome challenges and achieve your goals. Your journey will be guided by my empathy, compassion, and unwavering commitment to your well-being. I find deep fulfillment in creating a safe and nurturing space where my clients can explore their emotions, discover their strengths, and develop effective coping strategies.

If you are ready to embark on a path of change and discover newfound happiness, I am here to support you every step of the way. Together, we will navigate the complexities of life, uncovering your resilience and unlocking your true potential.

Yara Mawad, AMFT

I’m a Lebanese-American therapist with 2 years experience in the mental health field. As a child of two Lebanese immigrants myself, I hope to provide services, resources, and a positive  therapeutic experience that could help individuals of many different backgrounds and take a culturally inclusive approach.

I have worked with many different populations such as currently and previously incarcerated populations (re-entry), children and teens, parents, and substance use. I work to empower individuals to practice self-compassion, learning emotional regulation, increasing self-awareness, working through relational issues and grief, decreasing symptoms of depression and anxiety, managing and coping with stress, and processing adjustment periods. I look to support my clients by using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Additionally, I use psycho-education to help individuals/couples understand the intervention and treatment plan/goals, while implementing a strengths-based approach to the work we do together.

Through validation, self-love, care, and therapeutic tools – I am able to help clients rediscover and relearn themselves in new stages of life, challenges, and difficult feelings that come with various presenting issues. I would love to work with you, hand-in-hand, in your time of evolution and adjustment with empathy and openness. Please contact me if you are interested in working together.

Dominique Nakagi, ACSW

Life is filled with complexities and everyone could use a guide to process the struggles that life can through at you. I am here to offer space to process these experiences. I am compassionate, nonjudgmental, and realistic with my approach to therapy. I am here to work with you to create a safe space to process your emotions, experiences, and grow towards the individual you wish to become.

Through my clinical experience, I have worked mostly with acute mental health symptoms in outpatient mental health programs. I have experience working with diverse populations from children, adolescents, adults, and seniors who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, work-related stressors, relationship issues and substance abuse. During sessions I use a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness to best fit the needs of my clients.

I obtained my Bachelors in Psychology from California State University of Long Beach and my Masters of Social Work, concentrating in children, youth, and families from University of Southern California.

MJ Martin, MA, AMFT, APCC

I am a first-generation Hispanic American. I have been in the medical field since 2010 and worked in mental health for over two years. I have struggled with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and a myriad of other issues. My life has provided me with diverse professional and life experiences. My journey as a client encouraged me to become a therapist myself. I’ve often told others; healed people, heal people.

I have had the opportunity to work with diverse populations and backgrounds ranging from unhoused and low-income to populations in higher socio-economic populations. I have experience, and am comfortable working with individuals, couples, and families of all ages. In my work, I ensure to always meet the client where they are. This creates a client-centered approach which I support my work with evidence-based practices. This allows a space for the client to feel empowered, and supported, but also reinforces the importance of the added benefit from a professional.

I have made it common practice to remind all clients that therapy can be a lot like dating. It is important for both parties to feel comfortable and feel that it is a good fit. This is also a reminder that every therapist and client is different. Every journey will look different, but none is less valuable than the other. I make it a point to hold space for each client regardless of their beliefs, backgrounds, or values. If you feel that you are ready to reach out and ask for help, schedule a consultation call with me.

If you feel like you need help but are afraid, reach out anyway. There is no such thing as a human being who isn’t afraid. But there are human beings who understand being afraid in no way stops you from doing what you’ve gotta do.

Xiao Li, AMFT

Whether you are seeking clarity, healing, or direction, my role is to walk alongside you, creating space for you to be seen, heard, and supported as you reclaim your narrative and reimagine your future As an immigrant shaped by the moral framework of East Asian philosophy and collectivist culture, I know firsthand the tension between honoring family and cultural heritage while seeking an authentic and individualized life. Growing up in that environment has shaped how I understand identity, not as a fixed label, but as an evolving relationship between self, community, and history. That life experience now shapes my work with clients who stand at the crossroads of multiple identities – particularly LGBTQ+, individuals grappling substance use, migration, and the weight of intergenerational conflict.

My therapeutic style is integrative and client-centered. I draw on approaches that focus on helping people find meaning, build strong relationships, and develop practical skills for handling tough emotions and situations. My initial step is helping clients reflect on their emotional world— how they’ve made meaning of their experiences, what values drive them, and what patterns may have developed in response to past pain. From there, we work toward building emotional resilience, cultivating self-compassion, and developing practical tools to better cope with life’s challenges. With me, therapy is also a space to grieve what was lost, what may never be, reconnect with one’s inner voice, and to gently challenge internalized beliefs that no longer serve.

At the heart of my work is a deep respect for human complexity. I believe people are doing the best they can within the limits of what they’ve learned, but those limits can be expanded. Many of my clients often describe me as calm, warm, and deeply curious. I value authenticity, not perfection. I see conflict—not as a rupture—but as an opportunity for deeper connection and repair. I see therapy as a space to explore the complexity of being—and becoming—within shifting cultural, social, and personal landscapes.

Briana Murray, AMFT

As a therapist, I bring warmth, authenticity, and a deep respect for the unique experiences that shape each person’s story. Before becoming a clinician, I spent over a decade working in education as a middle school teacher and a coach for new teachers, where I developed a strong foundation in supporting adolescents, families, and individuals new to the professional workforce through life’s many transitions.

My clinical experience includes providing both individual and family therapy, facilitating groups on parenting and dating after trauma, working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and utilizing EMDR to support clients in healing from trauma. I have worked with clients across the lifespan, and deeply value the opportunity to walk alongside individuals, couples, families, and youth in their journeys.

I am passionate about creating an inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive space for all clients. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in an anti-oppressive lens. I strive to meet each client where they are, and believe in the power of therapy to foster growth, healing, and self-discovery.

Riley Lizardo, AMFT

Hi! I’m Riley Lizardo, a Filipino-American AMFT. I received my M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University, along with a Drug and Alcohol Counseling Certificate.

Life can feel overwhelming sometimes, don’t you think?  Whether it’s anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, and/or navigating a major transition, I am here for you.

My therapeutic style is collaborative, compassionate, and culturally responsive. I draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (let’s talk about solutions!) and Gestalt Therapy (let’s get in the moment!). Along with these methods, my goal is to help clients identify strengths, deepen self-awareness, and move toward meaningful change.

I have dedicated my time to supporting individuals and families in their growth. It has been a privilege to work with kids, teens, adults, and families as they navigate life’s challenges. My approach is grounded in deep respect for each person’s unique background and the strengths each brings. I am passionate about walking with clients as they navigate difficult life transitions, heal from trauma, and work toward recovery.

I believe therapy is a space to be seen, heard, and empowered — and I’m here to walk with you on your healing journey

Christina Corona-Salinas, AMFT

You deserve therapy that gets how your mind works—without judgment, pressure, or one-size-fits-all solutions. Whether you’re navigating obsessive thoughts, sensory overwhelm, burnout, masking, or feeling misunderstood in relationships, I offer a space where your experience is valid and your needs are prioritized. Maybe you’re managing the constant loop of OCD or the exhaustion that can come with being neurodivergent in a world built for neurotypicals. You might be craving structure and support, or hoping to feel more at peace in your own skin. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to untangle it alone.

I use compassionate, affirming, and flexible approaches tailored to how you process and what feels safe for you. Together, we’ll build tools that support self-understanding, emotional regulation, communication, and meaningful change—at a pace that honors your nervous system and lived experience.

Ella Tarnate-Flaherty, APCC

I believe therapy is a place where you can embrace who you are and honor the story that has brought you here. I understand how cultural identity, family expectations, and belonging can shape our struggles as well as our strengths. I bring this awareness into the therapy room with sensitivity and respect, creating a space where clients feel seen in the fullness of their experience. My goal is to walk alongside you as you cultivate acceptance, self-compassion, and clarity about the life you want to live.

My approach is rooted in client-centered traditions, which means I prioritize authenticity, acceptance, and helping you find meaning in your unique journey. From this foundation, I integrate evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also enjoy incorporating creative modalities like play therapy and art therapy, especially for clients who benefit from expression beyond words. I see challenges like anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions not as personal shortcomings, but as opportunities to realign with what truly matters to you. In our work together, I encourage exploration of your inner strengths, practice of self-acceptance, and tools that empower you to move through life with more confidence and ease.

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University and a Master’s in Counseling from California State University, Sacramento. I bring experience supporting children, teens, and adults in private practice, community, and educational settings. Above all, I want you to know you don’t have to carry your struggles alone — together, we can create space for healing and growth.

Kacherion Grant, ACWS

As a deeply committed therapist, it is my goal to provide a safe and nurturing space for each person. So many children and teens walk through the world feeling invisible, grappling with feelings of shame, guilt, and self-esteem issues.

I am an ACSW who is committed to helping children and teens suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, dysfunctional relationships, and/or communication challenges.

My approach is always warm, compassionate, and supportive. When combined, I have found it to allow young individuals to express themselves freely without fear of judgment.

I believe in the power of connection and empathy, helping at-risk youth navigate their challenges and discover their voice.

I use approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, which focus on understanding your thoughts, building on your strengths, and helping you move toward the life you want—one step at a time.

My ultimate goal is to help children and teens rewrite their narratives, moving from feelings of invisibility to a place of empowerment and hope.

Together, we will work towards healing and empowerment, fostering resilience and hope for a brighter future.

Aaron Quiroz, M.A., LMFT; Clinical Director

How often do you find yourself wanting to truly express yourself but can’t? Do you fear backlash for expressing the challenges you are facing in the workplace, public settings, or even in the home? I have a passion for working with and empowering adolescent and adult aged males.  My goal is to provide the safe space that you seek. I am a Trauma-Informed therapist; open-minded, empathetic, and unconventional in my approach. My experience comes from years of working with clients and families in community mental health-based settings.

Since 2013 I have had a wide range of experience working with a variety of clients including severe and persistently ill, dual-diagnosis/substance use disordered, homeless, and at-risk transitional-aged populations on their path to recovery. I use an assortment of professional and life experience to implement treatment of individuals, couples, and family/support systems depending on which benefits my client(s) most. By helping my clients find new perspectives and alternative solutions, a higher level of functioning can be achieved, and self-limiting plateaus can be overcome. My main approaches to treatment are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and EMDR.
