THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATIONs
Issues Treated
Many people come to therapy feeling exhausted from trying to hold everything together. They may struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, overthinking, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, or a constant feeling that no matter how much they do, it’s still not enough. Some feel stuck in cycles of shame, self-criticism, or unhealthy coping patterns that temporarily quiet the pain but eventually leave them feeling even more disconnected from themselves.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, self-worth struggles, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, and emotional burnout. I’m especially drawn to working with individuals who feel they have spent much of their lives trying to meet expectations, stay in control, or “get it right” in order to feel valued, accepted, or safe. I also understand the experience of feeling different, emotionally intense, or overwhelmed in environments that ask people to constantly push past their own limits.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine human connection. I draw from attachment-based, psychodynamic, emotionally focused, and cognitive behavioral approaches while also looking at the whole person—including life experiences, relationships, stress, and the connection between emotional and physical well-being. Therapy with me is not about perfection or having all the answers. It is a space to slow down, better understand yourself, and begin untangling the patterns that may be keeping you stuck in cycles of anxiety, shame, disconnection, or self-doubt. I believe healing often begins when people no longer feel they have to perform, prove, or earn their worth in order to be accepted.
Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, especially when you are used to carrying things alone. My hope is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and able to reconnect with yourself in a more compassionate and authentic way.
